Today we wanted to share a tailored WiSys solution that was created for a customer’s batch production needs. This customer manufactures goods in batches and discharges the finished goods into the packaging line. They wanted to track by component what was issued to specific batches. They also wanted to see when they discharged into the packaging line, when they started the batch and when they discharged.
Compliance is important to them so they wanted to see what lot numbers went into each batch. The customer is not recording batches for finished goods, however, this could be accomplished if necessary.
